MARE WEST: THE FIRST “GREEN” COMMERCIAL PARK IN GREECE WITH INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE
Noval Property’s Mare West commercial park has been certified with the internationally recognized environmental rating BREEAM In-Use Commercial v6. In particular, as reported by APE-MPE, building B of the Mare West shopping park was certified at the “VeryGood” level and building A at the “Good” level. The BREEAM program (Building Research Establishment EnvironmentalAssessment Method) of the British organization BRE, is one of the most widespread methods of environmental assessment and certification of buildings internationally, and is awarded to properties whose operation is based on sustainable and environmentally friendly management.
According to a related announcement, Mare West is the first commercial park in Greece certified in its entirety for its sustainable management. Through its operation, Mare West ensures the use of energy-efficient systems that contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions while at the same time achieving optimal waste management, water conservation as well as the strengthening of quality standards that ensure the health levels of both workers in the commercial park, as well as visitors.
