HOUSE OF THE YEAR FOR 2022 IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, THE RED HOUSE
The Red House in south-west England, his creation based in London architectural firm David Kohn Architects, was named House of the Year for 2022 by Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), which every year awards the best architect-designed home in United Kingdom, notes the APE-MPE.
Situated in the Dorset countryside, the two storey residence characterized by its playful but no-frills exterior, in which red-brick masonry converses with bright green details. Built for a couple and their baby daughter, Red House was meant to be one eccentric interpretation of the traditional British home. Chosen as this year’s winner by the judges for recognizing how it “lives up to expectations us for a house in a beautiful environment”
